Race Day

The Montgomery Dragon Boat Race and Festival is a wonderful community event where everyone is welcome. Park admission is free and the pubic is invited to come and see fellow Montgomerians compete on the Alabama River.

The City's Coosa Street Parking Deck, Commerce St. Parking Lot and Intermodal Facility Parking Deck are reserved for paddlers and volunteer until 9 a.m. After 9:00 anyone is welcome to park in at those facilities.

There will be food vendors and plenty for children to do in the Children's Village (please note that children must be accompanied by an adult in the Children's Village.

Visit the FESTIVAL menu to see the schedule of events and activities. Opening ceremonies begin at 8:00 and the first race starts at 8:30. The Grand Championship should begin at about 3:30 and will be followed by a medal and closing ceremony.
