The Montgomery Dragon Boat Race & Festival is a unique joint venture between two local charities: Bridge Builders® Alabama and Rebuilding Together® Central Alabama.

RTCA helps our community's most vulnerable homeowners by providing home repairs and modifications at no cost. Our mission is to enable homeowners--particularly seniors and those with disabilities--to continue living safely in their homes.
RTCA organizes volunteers from local businesses, churches, civic clubs, synagouges, and schools to provide the labor necessary to carry out this work.
Since 1993, RTCA has changed the lives of nearly 800 local residents and inspiresd thousands of volunteers to make a difference!

Bridge Builders® Alabama
Bridge Builders® Alabama is a two-year program that works with students from public, private, parochial, and home schools.
The mission of Bridge Builders® Alabama is to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who will lay aside individual, social, economic, and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.
Our purpose is to help ordinary youth find their voice, experience their power and build positive relationships to do the extraordinary. Bridge Builders® Alabama is designed to promote communication, understanding and trust among these developing leaders. Community projects, discussions, adventure education and first-hand experiences with community leaders are the training tools.
Our community needs Bridge Builders Alabama and the youth that participate in it. Armed with new skills and a respect for others, these students are ready to become involved in creating positive changes for our community. The bonds that are formed among these young adults will strengthen our entire region in the future.
