After another successful Festival this past August, the Montgomery Dragon Boat Race and Festival now enters its fourth year as the largest outdoor event in the City of Montgomery. On August 24th, 2013, the Dragons return to the Riverfront Park for yet another epic day on and off the water!

The Opening Ceremony and Dragon Dance launch the start of heats on the 6-lane, 300-metre course. Races run all day, stopping for an hour at midday and continuing toward the Championship race and Medal Presentations. Race times determine placement in advancing heats and ultimately the Championship Race.

Also returning is the Battle for the Iron Paddle! The heated rivalry continues on and off the water this year with the BFTIP Race and Fundraising Challenge.

Athlete’s Village comes alive with every team’s unique tent sites bordering rows of various local vendors and exhibitors and within sight of both SandBAR and the young dragons Children’s Village.
